Girls are the Epitome of Bitch

They really are.

Someone pointed this out to me a few months ago and I began analysing myself in certain types of situations and I’ve been like, “yep total bitch in that situation”. Anyway this isn’t the point of the post.

There’s this new girl at work who I’ve only met literally a day ago. I have no idea exactly how old she is but she looks like she has graduated high school already and she has not continued her studies further. That is not the point of this post either.

Yesterday this new girl was talking to one of the male workers there and I over hear her say, “Girls are bitches, I hate girls and I don’t want to be friends with any of the girls here because they are too much drama. I am not your typical girl I absolutely hate girls.” Or something along the lines of that. But anyway, I mean c’mon all I wanted to tell her was, do you hear yourself?! You sound like a fucking bitch yourself and if you hate girls so much then why the fuck do you work in the most girl-iest section any store can offer?!!!

Fuck you and your judgemental dim witted mind! I mean fine fair enough, girls may cause drama and maybe they can be a lot to deal with but you know what, she needs to look herself in the mirror to stop making a fool of herself! I thought I was at an age where I wouldn’t have to deal with the bitchiness of girls but apparently not!

Massive Summer Haul

It’s been quite a while since I’ve done one of these hauls actually so I thought I might do a massive haul with all the things I’ve purchased over the Summer, well most things actually. Not all otherwise this post might be longer than it already is…

So first kicking my haul off is this stripy black and white tee from Edge. The shopkeeper chick was like, “I have this shirt at home and I love it!” when she got the item down from the rack for me. And I was like really awkward and nodded my head before running off to the change room lol. Whoopsies, sorry shop assistant, I know you were only trying to be nice!

Stripe Boyfriend Tee
Was $39.95,
Now $27.95

The next item is this top from Forever New. I swear every time I go in these during this summer they’ve always had something that’s like a hydrangea blue, which I find really nice. Anyway, went inside the store since their sale sign was up and spotted this tank top from the sales rack. The top is pretty simple actually, just one shade and has some holes in the “sleeve” part and that’s it. But the material is really lovely.

20140301-142942.jpg

Shannon cutwork dipped hem tank
Was $59.95
Now $34.95

The next time are these boots from Windsor Smith. Now I’ve gonna be honest, this might give you a heart attack with the amount I spent on these boots, but I just love them so much and couldn’t stop thinking about them if I were to be frank, haha. Anyway, they’re these plain leather boots, with a chunky sole. It’s very casual looking actually, with no zips or laces so you just slip them right onto your feet and I just love them. I was actually thinking about these shoes for a good week before waking up one morning and heading down to Chadstone to purchase these boots, and I can see myself wearing these babies during the cooler months to uni and pretty much everywhere lol.

Eagar
$179.95

Next are these items from Valleygirl. The beige top was like a “yolo” purchase kinda thing since I wasn’t too sure on purchasing the top. But I guess the only thing that actually made me buy the top in the first place was because I wanted the shirt wasn’t a sheer material and I was like okay why not, it’s less than $10 anyway! And the tights were a kind of necessity since I threw out worn out and tacky looking tights before Chinese New Year, and needed some more since I was down to a pair of tights.

Beige Woven Shirt
Was $14.95
Now $9.95Tights
$9.95

These next two items are sweaters for the Winter. I’m honestly surprised that stores have already started selling Winter clothing considering there’s still Autumn go to through and Summer isn’t exactly over yet. Anyway, the white sweater is from an online store called Runway Bandits and it’s pretty snuggly.

The grey knit is from Dotti and they were having like a 30% off sale on their website, so I ordered it. It’s pretty cool actually, it has zips on the side from the bottom of the knit and continues for like a couple of inches.

20140301-145100.jpg

White Cable Knit Jumper
$24.12Grey Knit Jumper
Was $59.95
Now $41.95

These next two tops are my tanks. The darker gray tank top is from Sportsgirl and was those sale on sale items so it was a win for me, and I actually don’t remember the original RRP for the tank is. I’m not too sure about the studded parts of the top of the tank but I guess it I don’t like it I can cover it with my hair lol.

The light grey tank from Dotti was another sale item and thought eh, why not. Fits alright, and I kinda do need some tanks since I have practically close to zip in my wardrobe.

20140301-151528.jpg

Phoenix Stud Crop Tank
Was $29.95
Now $20.96Dotti Gray Tank
Was $29.95
Now $9.95

The next item are these pair of flats I purchased from Myer. I went to the sale section on the shoe rack and managed to find these really pretty and plain beige coloured flats. This was a sale on sale item so it was a pretty good bargain for me, especially since it was from Myer, plus these flats are really pretty and cheap.

20140301-152903.jpg

Beige Flats
Was $29.00
Now $13.00

This next item I’m actually a little embarrass to own only because where it’s from, which is Supré. I’m not too fond of the store since I’ve never exactly liked their clothing, but when I saw this on the model I really liked the jumper. So I tried it on and even though the material is average and probably isn’t going to last me as long as I would prefer it to, I purchased it anyway. I usually try to not buy tops with big giant logos since it makes me look a lot younger than I already am but what the hey, I’ve been following clothes encounters for a while and I’ve grown to like the gigantic print she wears on her tops at times.

20140301-153036.jpg

Crop Jumper
$20.00

Last but not least is jewellery. The necklace from Colette was a spontaneous purchase actually. I don’t exactly buy big chunky jewellery but it was pretty and blue so I bought it haha.

The necklace from Temt I purchased because my other gold thick necklace broke so I thought, this one here is very simpler and good enough, since I loved the necklace that broke heaps and never really got over it when it broke.

20140301-154000.jpg

Indiana Jewel
$16.95
Gold Necklace
$9.95

So that’s pretty much it. Hope you enjoyed the haul 🙂

The City Life

On Sunday evening after work I made my way over to my cousin’s apartment to spend time/catch up with her. I took the train from Glen Waverley and the took the tram down to my cousin’s place but as soon as I got off the tram my cousin texted me to go to MC. Since I wasn’t there anymore I met her at Bilo instead which was much closer and made our way to MC and then back to her apartment.

We then changed into our bikini and made our way to the spa/sauna room/steam room. We first jumped into the spa and talked for a couple of hours since there were heaps of things to talk about. Then we decided to go into the sauna and steam room before going into the pool, but once that got too cold we ended up going back to my cousin’s apartment.

Pool and spa

After we showered and got changed we had dinner and watched the movie, George of the Jungle, before calling it a night.

***

The next morning we decided to go for brunch in Fitroy. Dodgy place but very indie looking place. We originally wanted to go to this burger place but they weren’t open until 5PM so instead we went to this place called Slowpoke. It’s this indie looking place with those “Frankie” magazines. Anyway here’s a picture to the entrance of the courtyard of Slowpoke.

Indie brunch place

The place pretty much only served sandwiches, which was delicious when my place came. I ordered a smashed egg with herbs (it was delicious) and my cousin ordered a chicken herbed sandwich. I tried a chicken piece of her and the chicken was pretty good.

20140228-115641.jpg

Brunch food, Slowpoke

After brunch we walked around since I’d never been to Fitzroy before. We came to this shop which, specialised in paper. The place was pretty awesome even though it was pretty much just paper in the store. Here’s a picture of the place and there’s a selfie in here somewhere lol.

20140228-115652.jpg

When we were finished at the paper store we made our way to Carlton Gardens which was so gorgeous, as shown below. Actually phone quality is never the same as real life quality.

20140228-115709.jpg

Carlton Gardens

We got back to my cousin’s apartment since it was heating up and we didn’t want to walk around in the sun. So instead we stayed inside her apartment and watched the good bits from Frozen, and also planned where to go for a snack. I suggest Zumbo since both of us had never been there before, and since her sister’s boyfriend was over, we invited him to join us since he had never been there before either. Once Frozen finished, we got changed to go out and took a train to Zumbo. And lol at the asian girl in my pic heh, ruining my photo D<

20140228-115720.jpg

We eventually chose our orders and while we were there I bumped into V which I hadn’t seen in a long time. Anyway the cakes we went with were, Chocolate, Chocoalte Orange and Strawberry (which is what I ordered). I loved the strawberry cake and it wasn’t too sweet either. The size of the cake were good for a snack size, however $8 per cake, isn’t worth it. It is a good place to go if you haven’t been there before.

20140228-115728.jpg

After that we made our way back to the apartment and watched Running Man before heading off to dinner. We decided to go to this Italian place where they make their food from scratch. I forgot where it was exactly and what the place was called but it was really good. The spaghetti that I ordered was absolutely delicious. Would eat it again, then afterwards I took the train back home.

Ray’s 20th

On Saturday I went to Ray’s 20th which started at 2. Weird time to start a party I know but anyway I arrived at 2 being my punctual self and just as I expected I was early! Therefore I helped set up by washing lettuce and grating cheese.

The party was pretty chill overall actually, relaxing and fun! I met new people and saw familiar faces again and everyone there was lovely. Ray’s mum was so cute too when she brewed us tea lol. We pretty much chatted, played Timber by Pitbull and Ke$ha since Ray loathed that song with a burning passion and got K, K and J into a monkey suit which was hilarious because K greeted people by lying on the floor in a ‘sexy’ position when guests opened the front door.

We also watched some of the guys play basket ball and had ice cream cake towards the end of the night when R’s girlfriend snuck down to Woolies and bought cake. So good omg haha!

Anyway I got tired and after that I went home. Was gonna go to White Night but then I guess I was too tired to go and cause I was told not to since it was way over crowded. Apparently 500 000 went lul, strong crowd. Also, short post because I honestly can’t be bothered typing out that much.

Oh yeah, also got myself a new mini iPad. Yay.

Weekend Getaway – Day 3

Day three of the Canberra trip started off with going to the Sunday market. I’m not too sure if it was called the Victorian market or something, totally forgot actually, but yeah we entered the place which had everything (it felt like it). They had food stalls and stuff you can buy toys/plants etc from and everything.

We were there to eat since it was roughly noon and we were getting hungry. B suggested to get a table first since the place apparently got really busy and was popular so after we found a table all of us could fit on we decided to go order some food. I ended up ordering a crepe which was actually really massive and filling by the time I was almost finished eating it, swear I had a food baby after. We also got these orange juice drinks which were amazingly really sweet and honestly the best orange juice I’ve ever tasted.

The man that sold the orange juice owned this amazing orange crusher death machine to make the orange juice. I swear I spent like a while staring at it haha. After we wondered around the place we then walked to this glass museum and watched how they made glass and whatnot.

Once we were bored of the glass making we made our way back to the car and B drove us to War Memorial. I swear going into that place is absolutely depressing. I mean people sacrifice their life for your freedom and here I am typing up a blogpost. It felt like it had a sad atmosphere I reckon, and we were there for about 2-3 hours since the place was massive to wonder around.

Windows from War Memorial, so pretty

After a few hours of walking around the War Memorial, B started complaining she was tired and wanted to go back home so we started making our way out of the building and made our way home.

When we got home I think we played a few X-Box games and started also watched some Australian Open. Then it was about 6:30 and B started making dinner for us which was very tasty. Then later at about 9-ish we went on a tour of ANU cause S wanted to, so here’s a picture of the pretty park at night, lol.

ANU

Anyway, we then made our way back to the room and ended up finishing the rest of the cider we bought the day before and watched a Breaking Dawn and Mean Girls before heading off to sleep to leave Canberra the next morning.

Weekend Getaway – Day 2

Day two of the Canberra trip started off with Brodburger. We met up with B and S at Karmel Lodge at about 12PM beforehand, and because B’s friend was nice enough to lend his car to her for the summer while she was studying at ANU, she drove us to Brodburger. I totally forgot to take snazzy photo’s of the place to show you what it’s like on the inside, but it has a pretty laid-back environment. The place was also very busy when we arrived there, so I was expecting pretty good things from this place.

The menu reminded me of Grill’d quite a lot, not what was on the menu but the way it was designed (eg. font, spacing etc.). Anyway, I ended up ordering the chicken burger which was pretty tasty and chips for the side which were those string chips. It felt very American because when I received my order, my burger and fries were served in a red tray.

Chicken burger and fries

The meal turned out to be pretty filling, and it was very delicious. To be honest, I actually want to go back to Canberra for the burger! It was at an alright price, I think I paid under $20 but it was definitely more than $15, but I guess it was worth it because the burger was actually really filling, and while I was eating it, juices from the meat and sauce kept on falling it out since I wasn’t eating it quick enough.

After we finished our burgers, we went to a pastry/pie place which was about a five minute drive away. We decided to all chip in for a chocolate and banana pie ($8 each), which turned out to be really nice and very sweet when S and I tried it later that night.

B drove us back to the lodge where we ended up playing Fifa for a couple hours. We played a few rounds where I was teamed up with B and then teamed up with H. Apparently, I had awesome dribbling skills. After a few rounds we were pretty tired and resided to watching the Australian Open. Not long after, H and I decided to play some pool.

20140125-200037.jpg

H letting out his inner pool demon

As much as I hate to admit, the round of pool was very short since I completely suck at playing pool, but I admit I have come pretty far when I first started playing pool. Anyway, we came back to the room, watched the AO a little more before deciding to head to dinner at 6:30.

B drove us to this place in a suburb called Civic, where we dined at his American BBQ place called Smoque. The place was designed pretty awesome, so I was pretty amazed. When we asked for a table for 5 the lady told us we had to be out by 8 since the table was already booked. With this impression, I was expecting some quality food. We decided to order a big platter that would feed all of us with fries and mac and cheese as the sides, and it did fill us up pretty nicely, or at least it did for me because I was actually really full afterwards.

Once dinner was sorted we decided to buy a slab of ciders for tonight and walked down to the supermarket. We settled with an apple flavoured Sombersby which I think was the same cider I had at my work Christmas party 2.0.

B then drove to Parliament House which was absolutely gorgeous at night.

20140125-212915.jpg

Parliament House from afar

We then climbed to the top of Parliament House on the hill at the side. The grass was so nice and green and the view of Canberra was so pretty as well. The photo below doesn’t do the view any justice since the photos turned out really grainy on my phone, but oh man, the view was so pretty, and it was even prettier because there was lighting being struck through the clouds, and I totally tried to catch the lightning but damn, the strike was way too fast for my super slow reaction 😦

20140125-213101.jpg

B then decided to drive us down to Old Parliament House and to be honest, it is certainly not as pretty as Parliament House at night. After that, B drove us back to the lodge. B left us in our room while she went to the share with her friends, and when she left, we thought building a fort. In the end we were successful.

20140125-213133.jpg

Fort ft. S

Soon after we decided on opening a cider each between the three of us and watch Pitch Perfect on S’s laptop. We played a drinking game to have some more fun, and the rules were: 1) When someone sings, take a sip / 2) When a group sings take a longer sip. In the end we each ended up going through two cans of cider.

H is the most hilarious when he’s tipsy. We went through two cans of cider (that lightweight!) and started feeling my bag and says, “Your bag feels so nice”, then touches my hair and goes, “You have really nice, soft hair” then says, “I miss my girlfriend, I miss cuddling her”, and then S goes and asks H, “What do you think of cells, are they alive or dead?” Then they had this whole discussion where they disagreed on cells being alive or not. S thought they were alive since she said inside of cells are more cells.

After that we watched the rest of Pitch Perfect and decided to call it a night.

The Double Date Thief

On Wednesday I met up with G and booked tickets to see The Book Thief. I’d heard positive things about this movie from another friend so I was actually expecting quite a lot from this movie, with the only knowledge that the movie was based off a book about a girl who steals books (as suggested by the title). Bottom line, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I stepped into the cinemas.

About 10/15 minutes into the movie, the projector actually screwed up and cut off, causing the big viewing screen to go black, but a couple minutes later an usher came into the cinema and told us there was something wrong with the projector and it’ll take a couple minutes to fix it, and that’s when I spotted little petite J with P. They ended up moving over next to where we were sitting, and they told us they’d literally arrived, just before the movie cut off.

J was kind enough to offer us staff discounted food from the Candy Bar, but before we could decide on what to eat, the movie was up and running again. When the movie was playing, I actually quite enjoyed how the movie kept on going and never slowed down. Event after event, I never thought one of the scenes were dull, and were in fact heart-warming or depressing. Towards the end of the movie I almost shed a tear, but I forced myself not to haha but it is sad and emotional but it is a pretty good movie. However, one character that annoyed me most was Rudy. I certainly did not like how he was so nosy and always clinging onto Leisel and just always there, omg. As quoted from Leisel, “he’s a pain in the neck”.

When the movie ended, G, J, P and I all decided to have dinner together, and thought we should dine at Straits of Malacca. G ended up ordering Fried Chicken Drumsticks, P order Chicken Rice, J order the Curry Laksa and I went with the Prawn Noodle Soup.

20140124-220030.jpg

Say Hello to our food and a blurry faced J, lol

When everyone finished eating, J was still eating her dinner, and decided she would finish everyone’s left overs. She ended up eating P’s chicken, some of G’s fried chicken and drank the soup of my prawn noodles, while continuing to eat the curry laksa she ordered.
